You've just described me as well. Its hugely frustrating and I do/don't do exactly as you. I'm looking into a drug called Modafinil. Its for Narcoleptics and the US army is replacing Dexadrine with it for thier troops who need to be awake, alert etc. Here's a link with a message board attached for evey "remedy" they have listed including this one.

http://remedyfind.com/sym.asp?id=89 this actual page covers many types of ADHD remedies and are rated. hit the highlited topic for extra info and forums that gave combined ratings. In anycase print "Modafinil in seach and the page will come up. This is a very useful and interesting site since it states facts about the "remedy" and then has huge forums rating each persons personal experience with it and thier particular condition. Hope you enjoy.

I have a terrible time with fatigue, so much that it is hard for me
to complete most tasks during the day. I have a hard time
waking up and getting out of bed each morning, and it takes me
a while to get myself to make breakfast. I always waste hours
and hours watching tv and surfing the internet, because I don't
have it in me to get up and do something productive. I have to
fight myself to get things done, more than a normal person
should have to. Sometimes I'm so fatigued I can't even think
straight. My mind becomes a fog. I want so terribly to be hard
working and productive, but something inside me restricts me
from doing so. I have never been able to understand why. I
have had troubles with depression, but I'm relatively happy
right now and still have problems doing things. Does this sound
like CFS?I know this feeling. I've always felt that my ADD had a fatigue aspect to it. I feel that one of the main reasons why adderall works for me is that it gives me energy.

Hi,

I have CFIDS and I suggest that you visit this site: www.brainfog.org - they have a forum there and you can definitely get this question answered there!

Lil Miss

I have always had a difficult time functioning in the daytime.  Now that I know that I have adhd and am taking medication for it, I thought somehow that that would resolve many of my adhd symptoms.  Well, I was wrong. Now I'm on adderall and I should feel up but that's not the case. I'm still pretty much tired all day long.

I feel like I'm in some capsule keeping from the rest of the world. A few times a year I actually enjoy the daytime, but, for the most part it's like I can't even wake up.   Some people have called me a night person, and, maybe that's sort of true but not totally. I feel like I'll never fit with everyone else.

Hi All

I have ADHD and ME .. I did put up a post on this site about this a bit back- to see if others had this mix.

Half of you wants to run and the other half wants to curl up in a dark hole and die.

Or at least for a few hours !! lol
