Oh, by the way. Just one of the things I found was that constant rythm of 140-150 bpm alterating with bass (as IS in trance/techno) produces chemical changes in a brain, similar to that one of a drug addict.
Dear Members of the forum!
I have been listening to electronic / trance music and composing music in this style for some time. However, this was creating some bad phychological symptoms in me. I do not know exactly, but they might have been related to ADd or something like that.
Anyway, I stopped listening to trance/electronic COMPLETELY, and no longer write music like this anymore, only soft rock/classics.
However, I was irritated by what happened to me and want to dig deeper. I did research about trance music on the net and found many surprising, if not astounding facts. I collected some info on www.askaboutcanada.info.
Please fill free to browse through it. What I found was totally surprising. I really think that the issue of listening to trance music and its effects on the brain must be brought up to public attention. I seek people who can share with me how trance music affects them, their personal perceptions and stories, and in the end I hope that somhow one group of people and concerned parents might be able to public attention.
Thank you very much in advance.
