My little girl is 7 years old and in 2nd grade and she is was diagnosed with ADHD combined type.She has went through a lot of med changes and she is now on clonidine 3 times daily and one of the times is 12 noon at school after lunch.Today she came home from school VERY wound up and she has a chart called BC (behavior chart),and it had 2 warning marked for her acting,and i am like this is weird she is very hyped today and she got in trouble two times and let me mind you she has never had a warning in her chart,i know that we all have our days but i was like this is weird.I sat and thought,so i called the school and talked to the nurse whom passes medication out to the children and she said she didnt see my little girl today there for no medication was given to her.Im like WHAT???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! her teacher is supposed to send her to the nurses office after lunch she did not.Let me clearly state that I know that none is perfect BUT when a child is on medication for this you are not supposed to miss doseages.What do i do?I am just really upset right now and maybe you may think im blowing it all out of portion as well as that has went through my mind but how is the teacher going to mark her down for acting out and NOT send her for her meds to help her concentrate?
