Cold on Concerta | ADHD Information
Ok here is something weird. My son started concerta 18 mg last friday. The past couple days he has been freezing cold-all the time. I was walking around the house in a t-shirt and shorts this morning-comfortable and he was shaking with a sweatshirt on wrapped in a blanket. Any one else have this experience?Lots of kids on uppers find it hard to stay comfortable in their srroundings. I used to sweat on Concerta and I would be freezing and sweating, but everyone else would find the weather pleasant. I'm not sure, but I think the medicine causes an increase in body temperature, and then the person taking the medicine gets chills. Relative to his/her surroundings, s/he is cold. This may be a sign Concerta is bad news, it was for me.`yeah i been on concerta for a year or so and i am always feezing. my feet hands and my nose. no matter how much i rap up i am still cold in those area's . mad or what
I did notice that I am cold a lot of the time too! my hands and feet especially. I asked a few people yesterday if they thought it was freezing outside and NO ONE agreed lol. whatever, I know for sure I was cold so I guess it is the meds.
i did notice my 6 yr old sons hands were ice cold yesterday...he says he's always cold now, he's been on the concerta 3 weeks.
Hey-
I just started the medicine, and my toes and fingertips are constantly cold.
You're not alone.
