Reducing Credit Card % (not an ad!) | ADHD Information

They're planning on toughening up bankrupcy laws... so we  ADDers really need to be careful, or we'll be up  Sh1te's Creek without a paddle.
 
 My solution was to just get rid of my credit cards. Easier said than done, I know, but I no longer use credit cards at all. All I have is one debit card.
One of bcgirl's post about 19.9% interest on a credit card brought this to mind. I've been lowering the interest on my credit card every 6 months to 1 year, ever since I found out they will if you ask. After years of high interest, I finally tried asking if they would lower it, since I've been offered lower interest at other banks. And they did. I've had it lowered from 19.9% to 10% to 9.9% to 7.9% and now to 6.9%. Last time I asked, they said, "I think you qualify to have it lowered at this time." Wow! So now it's down to 6.9%. And I plan on getting it lower. I'll just keep asking, threatening to leave their bank, etc.

Mine is completely blown, at least for the time being. But I was lucky enough to have an extremely kind and compassionate boyfriend who was willing to transfer my K credit card debt onto his personal line of credit (he offerred, I didn't ask). I went from paying 19.5% interest to paying 6.5%. Since then (this was not quite 2 years ago), my K debt has shrunk to about 00. Next I will tackle the student loans.
That's great bc! Nice bf.    I've been paying on 00 for over two years, and it's only down to 00, and I haven't been using it, except when my other kittie, Marta, got sick and then died. I wish I could make larger payments on it each month.   It'd be gone by now. Now, it's one step forward, two steps back! I keep thinking if there's anything I own that's worth selling raffle tickets for at .00 each. Don't think so, tho. I thought of doing that for replacing my hot water heater in RV, too, wasn't I?
