Closed Captioning | ADHD Information

Just out of curiosity... Does anyone else use the closed captioning on thier TV, or the subtitles on your DVD player simply because watching whatever it is you're seems better that way?Maybe I'm just weird like that. OMG - YES!  I recently stumbled across this unique phenom while at my physical therapy center!  It bugs the bejesees out of others at home, but I love closed captioning!  I wonder what the neourology of THAT is!???I find I like it because people, especially programs with younger actors, seem to talk sooo fast, and I miss a lot. Also, when it's raining (and I'm in Seattle ), it's so noisy on my metal roof (old RV), I can't hear the TV. Unfortunately, the older TV I currently have doesn't have closed captioning, and I do miss it.   If I've taped the show, then I end up back tracking over and over again until I realize what they've said.
