Drug Tests | ADHD Information

Does anyone know how common ADD drugs affect drug tests (employment screenings for illegal drug use)?

 Also a little FYI : Metylphenidates are so nearly identical to cocaine that the two are used interchangeably in medical research.....Gives you something to think about? Doesn't it.

 

        Depending on what kind of drug test: spacific drugs( ie..pot, cocaine.....) or full drug screen panal. Most employers do a full drug screen panal ,which even alcohol drank the night before will show up. Depending on what ADD meds you are on; most are either a methylphenidate(Ritalin,Methylin, Metadate,and Concerta) or an amphetamine( Dexedrine, Dextrostat and Adderall) which will show up on a drug screen. However you should disclaim to the facility that is administering the drug test of all medications (scripts and OTC) that you are taking before the drug test. As long as you have been prescribed the ADD meds from a doctor you shouldn't have any problems.Hope this info helps. Good luck!! L8DK8T38429.6016666667
