I've noticed that some of you have tics or tourette's. I've developed a nervous twitch (around my neck) over the last year or so, and when I discontinued some of my meds, I felt it improved.
I was wondering, if anyone on ADD meds developed tics or found that they've gotten worse since getting the meds? I've been taking adderall for a week, and I've had some twitches and wonder if it's something I'm going to do more of but maybe I'm reading too much into it.
Michele, I do believe "tics" is a side effect of most of the ADHD stimulants. Even Wellbutrin can bring on tics, especially for someone like me who has had Tourette's since childhood. Have you spoken to your doctor about the twitches? I've read that some who have adjusted their dosages have had success with them stopping. One reason my doctor really doesn't want me to take any of the stronger stimulants is because of my various and often tics, twitches and jerks. Perhaps I should try putting them to music.
