I'd say definitely try it out and give it to him at night if it's what's best for your son. From our experience with it, we HAD to play around with the doses and timing in order to find the right fit for our son. We first started him on 18 mg, then to 25, then trying 25 mg. at night instead of in the morning because of sleepiness, then back down to 18 in the morning again because of "zombie-ness", on to 10 mg and now finally we've found that a "creative" dose of approximately 15 mg is what works best for him. He's the most in control of himself now since he's been on the meds. But again, we had to "play with it" a little bit in order to find his fit.
Only you know what's working the best. Trust your instincts...but I'd be sure to keep the doc informed and hope that he would support what you're doing for him. Just my opinion.

Is it ok to give strattera after dinner than imn AM?. will my son still get the full benefit of the medicine?. My MD instructed me to give the med in AM but it affected his appetite so I decided to give it to him at night. he has only been taking it for 2 1/2 weeks. I notice improvement in behavior and improvement in appetite. he also sleeps well at night. The only thing is he is hyper in the evenings but again he is only been on it for a short time.
I need some input please.
