Schwep...and you no longer have fat cheeks because you chewed them all up, right?

Oh GypsyWomyn, your so funny!  does this mean u loose weight if u chew your cheeks away?

I could do with loosing a few pounds!

I'm on Concerta and have that lead-like taste in my mouth. But could be in combination with other meds I take. ??

I wish I could chew gum, like you, Schwep, I've never been able to chew gum, I bite the inside of my cheeks.       That's what I get for having fat cheeks.

I take Ritalin and still get a dry mouth.  I never used to chew gum because I always bite the inside of my mouth.  At least 10-15 times a day.  But I need to chew the gum for the dryness and I am in fear that it is causing bad breath.

and I don't have fat cheeks anymore

I'm willing to bet you're on Strattera.....

I had the exact same thing when I was on strattera...

Orbit gum seems to do the trick for me.

Hey, Momma Bev! Yeah, I get that "lead-like" taste in my mouth, too. I just brush my teeth or rinse my mouth a few xtra times. Couldn't hurt. Which med are you taking? Perhaps it's common to just certain ones. Don't know.   Actually, I really don't mind it so much.

I also eat lots of garlic, so maybe the combination lets me not mind so much. GypsyWomyn38432.9158564815

Hey GypsyWomyn!

Been down to Pheonix for 10days and just got back!  Anyway, I am still on dexedrine, my doctor is reluctant to try anything else so he took me off the time release spansuels and now on 5mg ones.  but i have to suck mints all day as the taste is bad, brushing my teeth doesnt work unless i walk around with a toothbrush attached to my lips!!

[color=brown]Mints aren't so bad...as long as you use sugar-free. Helps with dry mouth, too. And what's so wrong with a toothbrush hangin' out? They advertise those new "paper thingies" so you can brush anywhere. I personally think they look stupid!

How was Phoenix? Nice and warm, huh? Welcome back.
