 none of the " active ingredients" metabolite  is in stimulant medications or metabalite would of been put out of business by the FDA  for  producing and distributing   a class 2 controlled substance w/o  a prescription or  FDA oversight.

It had ephedra( a strong stimulant) in it  which  was pulled from the market in the USA  because it was causing strokes and sudden death  in High school kids. It was real big for weight loss  and since it was unregulated  and a powerful herb  a lot of people  died.   Many, many  times more than have died  taking adderal xr in Canada. Were talking hundreds of strokes.

Nobody in Canada actually died from taking Adderall XR. The deaths were elsewhere. Health Canada just pulled the drug as a precautionary measure.

Welcome to the Board, Madibabe! Hey everyone! Hope everyone is well or gettin well. I am getting my medication today lol forgot what it is called. Think it starts with A.   I want to know if anyone has ever took Metabolife? It seems when i was taking metabolife I was at a bright point in my life. By  that I mean I was not in the dark and felt my personality comming threw. I lost weight and was happy. Now that I read some of the posts I see that some of what was in that diet drug is in the meds for ADD. I thought I was just kinda stupid all these years. Having to read the same thing 5 times then saying the heck with it . I am so unorganized, even thow I try so hard to be. My house gets messy and at other times it is spotless. Sometimes I can keep appointments and sometimes I can not. I do not keep a smooth running house (BUT TRY TOO). I hope this will be a eye opener for me and make it so much easyer on me and my family. I'm not on meds yet, but I got my official diagnosis last week and will be starting Ritalin in another week or so, once my doctor gets the report from the psychiatrist.

I've never tried any natural remedies. I'm a little leary of them since they aren't prescribed or monitored by a doctor. They can have side effects and interactions, just like prescription meds, therefore I don't really like taking the chance. Just my personal opinion though.
