Hi Daniel
My son who is 7 years old take Metadate and doesn't complain about any side effects. The thing I notice is that he is not hungry. Not to say he doesn't have other side effects, he might, but he never mentions it to me.
Just wanted to share.
Thank you so much for your reply. I also had another question. Does your son take medatate twice a day? I take one pill in the morning and one at 2pm. I have been on the pill for two weeks now, I wanted to know if you have seen improvement in your son's work at school, I mean how much effective has it been for him? This is my second time that I have switched medications and I really want to know if Medatate is useful and helping. He takes two 20mg pills in the morning after breakfast and it gets him through the day.
Medication for everyone is different, but I really like the Metadate for him. He is doing really good at school and when the medicine wears off (which is right before dinner) he isn't really moody (just a bit wild)
Overall, I am extremely pleased with it.
Let me know if it is working okay for you.
-Susan
thanks for all those who have replied. I was previously on adderal but it did not work for me and my doctor put me on metadate, but the stomach aches are really painful even though the focus and attention prblm for me was really solved with this medication. i hate to switch again. this is awful
We just had to take our 6 year old daughter off Metadate because she was getting bad stomach aches and was extremely emotional on 20mg per day. She had the same stomach aches on only 10 mg.
Our Dr. said that doesn't happen often on this medication but apparently it's just not going to work for her.
We're trying Adderall XR now.
