Ah effexor!
Well I was on effexor for about 18 months, same dosage, for depression, then when I was diagnosed with add, there is depression that can come from the add, my doctor immediately took me off the effexor, The drug itself is a good one as long as u are on it. BUT look out when coming off it.
You can check out a website, search google, there are people that cannot come off it. it is so addictive that people have to go back on it as they cannot stand the side effects. I myself experienced this. I slowly reduced my pills, but since realized i should of taken at least 3 months to ween myself off it.
I was getting "head zaps" and felt as if i was on a ship and was so dizzy, even now and it has been 2 months i still have the dizziness, but it is getting better. If you check google you will find that a lot of people think it should be banned. worst side effects ever.
But there again each to there own, but I thought my add medication was making me dizzy only when i checked with google i found how bad the effects of effexor are>
Does this help at all?
Hi folks, anyone care to comment on effectiveness of Effexor. A friend of mine says it took her a couple of years to find the right one and she swears by Effexor. She takes 225 mg./day
How would you rate it?
