hello everyone, how are you all today?I am doing ok,but would be much better with advice from you all.I have a little girl age 7 with ADHD combined type,a 11 year old son with suspected ADD and I am ADD.I started back to school and have been having a very hard time with my attention and comprehension.I went to the doctors today and she put me on Strattera,40 mg for 3 days and then 80 mg after that.Do you have any advice or input on Strattera? How long does it take before you notice any difference?I know everyone reacts different but could you tell me what you know and have experienced? Thanks so much!!!!
Sandra
When the right dose is found, it takes up to 6 weeks before the full effects of the medication are seen because its a blood level medication. Hope this helps. Good luck.HI MY SON STARTED STRATERRA THE SAME WAY YOU DID. HE IS ON 80MG A DAY NOW. WHEN HE STARTED, I COULD TELL WITHIN 2 DAYS. HE ACTUALLY COULD SIT THROUGH A MEAL AND HAVE A REAL CONVERSATION WITH OUT JUMPING FROM ONE THOUGHT TO THE NEXT. IT HASN'T HELPED HIS GRADES A WHOLE LOT AND PART OF THAT IS HIS NOT LIKING SCHOOL THAT MUCH AND NOT MOTIVATIONG HIMSELF. IF HE PUTS HIS MIND TO SOMETHING HE CAN DO ANYTHING!! GOOD LUCK
