hi im on concerta 72mg
i find it helps alot, im more happy than i ever was.its great, i can do alot more [/QUOTE]
Hi Maggie! When you say you're a lot more happy, could you tell me why you are more happy? I read that people on meds are happier than they've ever been. Do you just "feel" happier? Or are you happier because you can focus, concentrate, get motivated and do things that were difficult before?
Also do any of you on Concerta feel you can better recognize your emotions and perhaps control them better? Like anger? Susan, when you were taking Concerta, what dosage were you taking when you felt it worked the best for you? And also on Ritilan? I've been on 36mg two weeks (after one month on 18mg) and still felt it was doing nothing for me. I again took 72mg a second day. For the first time ever, I saw things clearly, visually and mentally. It was like my mind was able to slow down enough to focus on one thing at a time. I didn't accomplish much, but the seeing with the new *eyes* was enough to accomplish for one day. I'm on HBP meds, and my blood pressure was 110/65 - excellent. I saw my doctor today, and she told me in two weeks we'll try increasing to 72mg. So perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel.

i was first put on 18mg which did nothing then it went up to 36 and still nothing.
on 72mg i have lost weight but then again im abit over weight from having 2 babies close together so its helping there lol
ive got 5 boys
my 9yrs old has adhd/odd and is on ritalin
my 3+6 has d.a.m.p/adhd/dyspraxia
I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has switched from Concerta to Ritlian, and who has found they liked Ritilan better---or not. And why or why not?
I'm on 36mgs of Concerta but when I run out I have a prescription for 54 so hopefully that will help for awhile!!36 worked at first but now i need a little bit more. It never really helped a lot though because it is still a low doseage. Anyways, I still feel impulsive on concerta but I think I delay a little bit more reactions and whatever which is definitely a good thing. Hopefully I'll keep improving. Also, I heard comments about 72mgs of Concerta. What about 54? will it help me do you think for awhile? i know I'll probably go up to 72mgs but for now I'm moving up slowly. What is your opinion on it?(anyone).

hi gypsy, i feel happier as i can now focus, concentrate and yes i can do alot more, it wasnt like i found things difficult before, i just couldnt focus on things, ie doing the chores i would start in kitchen, then remember the bin in bathroom, go to the bathroom and clean in there without finishing off the kitchen etc..., now i can do the whole lot.
i still get the hump really quick, but thats only when the kids take the mick out of me and if hubby tries laying the law down and it dont come over, i do however start feeling bad and i can walk away as before i couldnt.
