Adderall: Problems with Insurance | ADHD Information

Hey Guys!  For those of you that take Adderall, do you have problems with trying to get it filled?  I can not count how many times I have went to get my Adderall prescription filled, and they said it was too early to get.  Even just one day early.  Its either the Insurance company denying it or the pharmacy saying they can't fill it because it is too early.  What are the laws in filling controlled substances?  I would probably have better luck getting Lortabs filled than this!  Whats the deal!!As far as I know, you are only able to get a refill every 30 days by law.  This is also the reason why they only prescribe a 30 day supply.  However, if you take Adderall instant release, you could ask your doctor to write twice a day, or three times a day depending on how much you take per day in order to save on the co-payment at pharmacy and to get a bigger supply.  For example, I get prescribed 20 mg of Adderall twice daily, even though I only take one a day, and it lasted me longer.  I switched to Adderall XR 20mg yesterday, and unfortunately the doctor can only prescribe once daily for 30 days.I had my Adderall filled on feb.25th. I saw the date on the bottle yesterday and called the pharm to fill my dropped off script.

Because of Feb having only 28 says, it was too early. Well by gosh I hope to be a better citizen next year and   I remember that all important tid bit.

The phamr did say tho that the computers were glitching because of the 28 thing.

I know that I have had some problems with going in too early, but that has been quite a while; at the same time, I know that I don't beat feet over there on the evening of the 30th day of each month..

The paranoia of the DEA gets under my skin by a mile!
