You might be right... but it would seem that he is treating you for ADD, or whatever he wish to call it, so who cares...
Well I just was told low dopamine. I even told him I was thinking I might have ADD and the dr told me no just low dopamine. Maybe he dont belive in adult add. ????????
There are two sections on the front of your cerebral cortex that are enlarged when you have ADD, don't remember what they're called, but I remember it was (cambridge, 1999). Anyway, that's where the idea of low dopamine without actually having ADD comes from.
I am puzzled by the subject you have chosen.... ADD people most often suffer from low dopamin... and that is what is the cause of ADD...
I took wellbutrin to quit smoking a few years ago and it made me VERY forgetful!!! And I remember finding out that professionals prescribe it for ADD, and I thought, well now I know I don't have it. But, now I'm on ritalin so we will see if it helps with my add. BTW, is he pertaining to ADD by saying you have low dopamine.
Well I posted on here a few weeks ago. to make a long story short. The first DR I seen just grouped me as soon as I walk through the door. I went to see another one yesterday. He sat there and asked me questions about my behavior and my familys. He said it looks like I have low dopamine. He prescibed me WELLBURTIN XL 300mg. He said it looks like my dads whole side of the family has it.
I called my dad and every one of his siblings has it including him. (total of 6 of them). So hopefully this med will help with my snappy ness and stuff. They say that your attention span is effected by low dopamine. so hopefully this will work.
THank you every one. ANYONE ELSE ON WELLBURTIN XL????????
