Generations | ADHD Information

I have been pitying myself a bit because I didn't start getting control of my add until relatively recently and I'm in my late thirties.

Then I thought about how this things has been going on for generations - it's genetic - from a parent - grandparent - all the way up.

Good morning Yellowdog (puppydog) I'm positive my father had ADHD and suspect my sister does, too, although she is in complete denial! I know I've had it all my life, but was only diagnosed a few months ago, and I'm 55!

I don't know about my father's side of family, but I know my mother's parents seemed perfectly *normal* but very understanding of anyone who may have been different. Oh, how I miss them!

People like your maternal grandparents are wonderful - being normal and having the ability to empathize with people who aren't is a very special quality that not so many people have.

Sorry you had to lose them.
