What activity holds your attention longer | ADHD Information

This is a hard one because each of those things can really hold my interest if the situation is right.  I love arts, crafts, watching sports (if it's my team, and it's playoffs only) and movies if I really, really like them.  I checked movies for my vote because that's about the only thing I can honestly say that I complete.  Where's the option for NON-online computer/video games? I can get lost in a good game for HOURS, but I hate the online/multiplayer ones. I can get captivated by anything as long as I'm physically involved in it, even a computer game. But I can't watch tv, movies or sports. I'm far too hyper and get bored after about 5 minutes.

Wow, good call!!  That is so true of me also!  I cannot tell you how many hours I have put into Scrabble Complete, or Maj Jongg!  I get especially wrapped up in puzzle type of games, like Tetris for example.

Put the board/card games and such in internet. If I knew how to change it to internet/gaming I would change it.

None of the above.  I can pay attention to all of them occasionally, but there's very little there I don't find boring.  I like writing, but struggle to get started (and struggle even more to finish) - but when I can do it I enjoy it.

I can watch movies, but it's got to be an 'action' flick with big guns and lots of explosions - anything else bores me silly.  The same with computer games - if it's not something with big guns and lots of explosions I quickly lose interest.

Perhaps the only thing that I can consistently spend time on is my motorcycle - whether it be riding it, polishing it, mechanical tinkering of some kind... or just admiring the thing...

I find that small needlecraft projects hold my attention just long enough. Especially if they have different colors to switch off. It's either that or MMORPG games (online roleplay games)

ummm....all of the above?  except sports.  they bore me.  I can pretty much hold my attention on anything really stimulating and interesting, I LOVE crafts, AND drawing, but all of the rest of the things listed are fun things also, and I can hold my attention on anything fun...

it's the BORING stuff on which my attention wanders...

I understand, and I agree on that too..however but I meant of all of these which gives you the longest attention holding power? 8 )

If I had my druthers and could pick all I would. I even enjoy sports i.e. ice skating, downhill racing, gymnastics.  Instead, I choose the one that holds my attraction the longest, which is currently the internet. I can read various articles, write or chat, or look up some other idea that I wanted to learn more about. I love learning and research. So, for me because the internet can be used as such a great tool to learn and the flexibility to bounce around, I would have to say the internet holds my attention the longest.
