Major tics, depression, and ADHD | ADHD Information

ritlinhangover...welcome to the Board! I would like to ask you if you are taking an adhd med, and if so whether you had tics before you began those meds? Several (most) stimulants rx'd for adhd have the side effect if tics. I don't know what can be done for them, perhaps adjusting the adhd med (something I've read on this board). And, of course, talking to your doctor.

I have been treated for many years for depression, unknown it was due to undiagnosed ADHD. (I'm 55 and recently diagnosed, but knew something has been wrong since at least grade school.) I also have non-verbal Tourettes and have had my tics, jerks, etc. since childhood also. I take a high dosage of Paxil, which does help with my tics and depression. And I've recently started on Concerta for ADHD.I have tics, ADHD, and depression.  What does everyone else use to controll there ticks?
