Adderall,side effects | ADHD Information
Thanx for the advise, tryed the prunes sometimes works, tryed the fiber will see how it goes. It may take more than a few days for the Adderall to work, took a few weeks for me to notice a real change.
comet38441.957662037It is my third day on Adderall XR 20mg, and I am very disappointed by the results. I feel like I haven't taken anything at all, and I feel slower than I normally would. I don't even feel motivated, and everything seems a big deal for me. For now, I'm going back to Adderall 20mg twice a day.
Yeah the constipation and problems with urination were there with both Adderall and Stratterra. Specifically a sense of constriction and spasms. I am seeing a urologist next week will post findings.
Hi, I have been taking Adderall XR 30mg and wellbutrin for 6 months and seem to be having a real problem with constipation. I have been following all my Dr,s suggestions to keep regular but none of it seems to work. I have been having good luck with the Adderall working , has anyone else been having this problem?
PS also having a nagging stiff neck.
My 6 year old started her Adderall XR today 10 mg. She took it at 7:30 this morning about 5:30 tonight she had the worst emotional outburst I have ever seen!
Is this going to be normal on Adderall XR?
This message is for momof2girls:Adderall does drop out of thier system and they are prone to emotional outbursts for a while. My son came home every day and broke into tears around 5 every night over little things. The drug is an amphetamine and it does cause a crash in the system when the drug wears off. My son's have seemed to disapear now and it did take a while ( about a month or so). Try and bear with it if possible and try to make that time when you know it's coming ( it will be the same time every day as long as med's are consistantly given) a quite time or even giving her a bath early in the evening to help mellow the mood and transition her it will help. We burned a lavender candle about half and hour before he get's home from school and then had an hour of quite time so that his body could adjust. Hope this helps.
I've not had constipation probs.... more fiber or fiber drink see advertised for ol' folks (too much fiber too quick = gas) more fruit.. could work too. an adjustment period, as it is a stimuulant--perhaps like teeth clenching but at opposit end... ya think

My little girl was on adderral xr 10 mg i gave her one dose and no more,she took it at 730 am and by 9 am she was vomitting and her heart was racing and she said she felt shaky,She got sick for 12 hours.I just gotta keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to medications but as soon as i was told adderral was taken off the shelfs in canada that told me right there that was crazy.They say they took it off the shelfs due to 20 unexpected deaths.Good luck and I hope to hear from you on how your child is doing as well.

I went back to the short acting today, it worked much better, and I got a lot more done. I haven't been able to sleep on the XR, and it made me break out, I guess it's not for me.
