Hi, my husband was recently diagnosed with the combined type of ADHD. I'm looking for helpful info on where to start. He has great difficulty at work. Was self-employed now looking for work. What has been helpful for you? Meds, coaching, supplements, therapy? My husbands doctor told him he felt Meds were the only real help because he believes it's a biochemical disorder. I'm not sure I agree and there seems to be some scary stuff out there about the medications. Any advice would be appreciated. Does diet seem to effect your symptoms at all?
I'm an at home Mom. Our son has autism and our daughter was diagnosed with ADHD about 2 years ago. It's very scary having my husband out of work and I have my hands full at home. Plus all this reading about ADD is making me wonder if I might have the innatentive type. Thanks for your help.
Diet is A huge effect on anyone. add/adhd is a biochemical disorder. Your autism child should be eaten glutin free because they are not to be able to process glutin products.Has autism been ruled out in this child also. Therapy is a most also. Lok at the cite on 50things taht can mimic adhd also good source also.daniel's mom38441.7941782407[QUOTE=adultdvd-stores]Buy adult dvd movies in every genre. ok...??
WHAT IS THE POINT!!!!

Plus different things work for different people. Caffiene actually
helps a lot of ADHD people calm down and focus. Of course others will
be bouncing off the walls from too much of the stuff so diet is a trial
and error process just like meds are.
What has been helpful for me in the order of importance are:
Therapy to help me: deal with esteem issues, look at maladaptive coping strategies that I developed over the years, learn other coping strategies, and lots lots more.
A diet free of caffene, sugar and processed food.
to a much lesser degree - meds.
Hi True,Get enough sleep for one thing. Set up an exercise plan and stick to it. There have been a lot of things said about diet on this forum, so I won't reiterate them here.
ADHD is a neurological disorder affecting the neurotransmitters. It is treatable with medication and many of the posters on this forum have had great success with them. There are side effects and it may take some experimenting and patience to find the right drug and the right dosage.
Just what I was looking for! Adult videos! Thats what this forum's about. Thanks so much for telling me where to go! I mean, it's so hard to find any of that online or at the 3 video stores on my block!Thank you thank you THANK YOU!
