mom in need of help | ADHD Information

 I have talked about my little girl with ADHD on here on many post but now I am having issues and i am in need of help please.
  I was diagnosed with ADD when i was like 6 and it was always a issue for me,I was always in special classes and such but my mom would never put me on medication to help me.I am now a mom of 2 one with ADHD combined type and one with suspected ADD and I just recently started back to school and I am struggling badly.I mentioned this to my doctor and she put me on strattera 40 mg for 3 days then 80 mg after that,it is not helping me with what i need help with(consintration and comprehension),it is just making me very sick to my stomach and very tired and i have even tried taking at night time and it keeps me up sick.i know all medications work different on others people but do you have any suggestions on what i can try to help me with these issues.I mean i really want to get my degree but at this rate it is not going to happen so please help me out if you have any suggestions.

Strattera can take up to 6 weeks to be fully effective as it is a blood level medication.  I have heard from others that it can take a few days but most of the side effects do go away.  If they do not subside after 10 days I would definetely contact your doctor.  I also am taking Adderall.  It has helped me also.  I have been taking it for about 6 months.  I am still adjusting the dosage but things have improved.  Best Wishes, GettingagripI take Adderall and it works wonders for me.  It's only been 3 weeks so time will tell, but I know a lot of others have success with it as well.
