My 11yr old stepson started on adderall about 2wks ago. Much improvement in motivation and focus, but he has started having headaches in the afternoon/evening. It hasn't happened every day and this does happen to coincide with increased pollen levels, so I don't know if it's allergy or med related. Tend to think it's the med. Anyone else experience headaches when adderall wears off? Thanks.

I get migraines already, so I can be headache prone. But I couldn't take Adderall (time released, tried it a few weeks ago) because I got horrible headaches when I came off of it. I was on a dosage that required 2 pills in the AM...my Dr told me that it was OK if I straggered them by 20 min's, which helped the headaches some. But I went back to my Concerta. I had a problem w/ ritalin and headaches a long time ago, but the time released helped a lot.
