Hi I've also been experiencing some allergic reactions since taking adderall. I've been on it for about 4 weeks and for the past 2 weeks or so I've experienced tongue and throat swelling. I've also been constantly taking antihistamines to battle this.
I'm allergic to other things as well and this has not been the first time I've experienced this reaction. One thing that I have done in the past 3 days is increase my consumption of alkaline foods and decrease my consumption of acidic foods. (Acidic foods should be somewhat avoided w/ adderall in order for adderall to have its full effect). Now I'm not sure what it is exactly I am alergic to - the adderall, the combination of adderall and too many acidic foods, or something else entirely - but I have noticed a decrease in my allergic reactions.
Hope that helps at all.
been taking Adderall XR 30 mg for a few years and I'm experiencing several body changes. I often get red and itchy on different areas of my body....my hands and feet get so red and internally heated up that I feel like they are going to pop. I break out in small red hives when i scratch. I constantly take antihistamines to keep the rashes and itching at bay. My doc says I have Uticaria and Dermatographia...I was wondering if Adderrall is responsible for any of this... and if so, how long do you have to be off the drug for these annoying side effects to cease?
Anyone else experience anything like this? I'm practically losing my mind...
