really bad day!! | ADHD Information
I am having a really bad day today! I cant for the life of me concentrate on a conversation. When people are speaking, it feels like I'm underwater and can barely hear them. I can see their lips moving and can kind of hear the words, but I can barely put it together to get the gist of the conversation! I know I've unintentionally phased out of the end of at least 2 conversations in the last 15 minutes- at least I think I phased out, bc I cant remember anything!
Also, I'm completely on edge and if I hear the slightest sound I'm filled with adrenaline. I cant stand any noise and I'm about to go bonkers!!! Barely slept last night.
I just want to run screaming down the road and never come back! chocoholic38450.5211458333Go to your favorite restaurant and pig out.
Aww, sweetie...that doesn't sound good or like fun at all!

Do you need to be in these conversations (are you at work? or at home?). I mean, can you kind of just go off by yourself, and avoid any conversations for now? Or if at home, can you take a nap? I imagine a good night's sleep might do wonders for you. I'm glad you were at least able to connect with us, where things are a clear, right?
Chocoholic...has this ever happened to you before? Did you just start new meds? We worry about one another when things like this happen. We really do.
Let us know if it seems to get better, okay? We'll be here.I'm sorry to hear that. When I'm having a bad day (which is often) I
like to treat myself to junkfood. But I wouldn't recommend doing
that. It's too unhealthy. Just drive to some wooded secluded area
and let out a few good screams. Or buy some plates and smash them.
I have these days too, and the worst thing a girl can hear when she is cranky cuz of her mood is "is it that time of the month?". I have never really ever had PMS until my 30's, but people sure sometimes make me feel like I wished I did after they get on my nerves at work :)[QUOTE=Reizende]I have these days too, and the worst thing a girl can

Oh yeah.. and if we're sick that means we're pregnant.
See my post about "normal people cause me undue stress" I am in a hyper-focus day, but my rental office threw me into Rain-man mode.
Me sorry Choco. 8(
Mmmmm... just talked to my hubby on the phone and he's taking me out for the fattest, grossest burger we can find.
Sadly, I think this probably is pms related- I always have a couple of really horrible days right after I ovulate (yeah, yeah, too much information). I can't make the simplest conversation, am completely agitated, cant think, get lost more than normal, have really bad blank outs and memory loss. Cant even answer simple questions sometimes. My therapist said he thought it was probably related to the severity of my adhd. Gotta love that.
Maybe it will be better tomorrow. I feel better already after reading all of your posts.Good, "Cocoa"

And let us know tomorrow how that big, juicy burger was, k?

I very much out of shape and started developing those kind of symptoms once I hit 30 8( Usually though, I am just grumpy cuz I'm grumpy..nothing else. So, Chocoholic, how did last night go? How was that burger???? Did you get some sleep? Are you feeling better today? I sure hope so!

Yummma yummma yumma! I am feeling much better. We went to Fuddruckers, which was a totally loud obnoxious crazy place and honestly, I think it shocked my system enough to boot me out of my bad state! Weird.
Yikes, Reziende, you're right, I've noticed that things got a lot worse after I hit 30, too! I had thought that it was just related to having small demanding kids, but I'm wondering now if it isnt the adhd!
By the way, Gypsy, I'm not sure I can live up to the name "Cocoa"- it conjures up pictures of a really sexy lounge singer to me, and believe me, I definitely dont fit that bill
Thanks to everyone who replied. Its nice to have people who understand what's going on and can be sympathetic. [QUOTE=chocoholic] Yummma yummma yumma! I am feeling much better. No problem, Chocoholic!

Fuddruckers...isn't that the place with the tables and chairs that have those funny legs, with all colors of socks and sneakers? I remember those in San Diego when I lived there. They did have good burgers! Glad it all did the trick for you!
