Even something as simple/natural as cheese can cause a serious reaction for some.
 
St. John's Wart doesn't work for everyone, and also has side effects of its own. It makes some people very photosensitive (sunburn easily), and there are some other side effects too, like major mood swings. It can also interact with a lot of over-the-counter drugs.

I can't knock anti-depressants. They saved my mother's life, and have greatly improved the life of one of my best friends.

But again, they aren't for everyone either.
That suicide warning is not going to convince me that I am in danger. Do your research, there is no proven direct link to these drugs and suicide (they can actually prevent someone from committing suicide).
