for such an expressive bunch of folks as we are, i wish we had a larger selection of emoticons to use here..

how many times have you been writing about something here, and just could not find the perfect emoticon to use with it??

just wondering...(i have an artists' brain...)

sonya_h38453.8605671296i'm actually becoming anti-emoticon.
i turned them off in my board.
I've been on 1 forum that had 1 that had a straight face and its eyes moved from side to side...that has always been my favorite one....I agree, Sonya! Can't think specifically what they were, but definitely believe there are a few that would be handy.I vote for a smiley with morning hair...!
i have an artists' brain...
Uh huh, same here. The problem is that the tone you want to communicate in changes line by line, sometimes word by word. And emoticons look too cutesy to really communicate in certain environments (can you imagine using them while dealing with human rights violations? I've been there.) I've always thought there needed to be a tone library made out of fonts or font variations, so I could write [sarcastic] "I love windchimes" [/sarcastic].
Better yet, we need the smiley with----> O_o eyes and Kramer hair from Seinfeld..[sarcastic] "I love windchimes" [/sarcastic] (and other intonations for type) is a fabulous idea!
I mentioned in a previous post that we needed an embarassed, blushing, non-smiling icon. I know we already have a blushing icon that's supposed to be "embarassed" but it looks more flirty to me.
I agree 100%. That blushing one looks too "sheepish" embarassed, not "mortified" embarassed.
I want a "shrug" one, can't think of the rest I wanted right now, but as I write I will come up up with more...I mentioned in a previous post that we needed an embarassed, blushing, non-smiling icon. I know we already have a blushing icon that's supposed to be "embarassed" but it looks more flirty to me.
