Chicago is awsome. I can drive there in 8 hours from Missouri. If anyone hasn't seen Chicago, they should check it out in the summertime. Chicago here Houston is where I am but any gathering place is better than here.  Too hot.Sheboygan Wis Here....Cooler by the lake ya knowEngland's quite nice this time of year.Seattle has perfect summers!   But from past experience, I much rather talk with all you guys on the board. I'm sure if we met in person, when we couldn't take our time, like with our posts, we'd really drive one another NUTS! Especially in a group!    Although it would be interesting to see how those of us on meds would do "live."
England's quite nice this time of year.
I want to go to England more than anywhere else on earth. No kidding! Kinda pricey  for me though. I'll have to save for a long time.
Hey Chicago people, I'm up in Lake Zurich, just a stones throw!!!  Wouldn't it be great if we all got together.  But then again those of us with social anxiety would stand in the corner and observeAwe come to Buffalo New York in winter and experience one of our infamous snow storms or Blizzards.  LoL!  I have an idea. Why don't we arrange some time of gathering we can all meet in the future? We could all have a barbecue at a public park and get to know all the fun, bouncy people we are. Of course, it would take me forever to save money, but maybe I can if I start the Flylady organization schedules. Tax time I always have some money. For a short time anyway.

Like I said maybe I was getting a touch of grandiose thinking. =/ I probably couldn't afford it if I tried.

Well, I could if ya'll come to Florida. 8)

that would be great is there anyone who lives in the michigan areaI dunno if Id wanna fly somewhere for a bbq in a public park- no matter who was there...there are really good burgers down the block and decent ones across the street. It would be nice to meet you though...At the moment a plane and hotel for one day with strangers is too expensive.

Wow, I never realized I might have some self-control. Well, not good self-control, but some. I never have any money either, but on certain special times I get stubborn enough to make myself save. Its VERY hard.

It would be a fun thing to do for escapism purposes, but maybe not easy for all to do. Perhaps its only the grandiose thinking thing. 8(

That would be great fun I'm sure. But that's the problem, none of us ever have any money. ADD people are too much fun, although they can have some baggage. You meet these great people who have a whole range of problems different from your own, and you can't help but worry about them.

Through a message board like this, I met a woman who ate ritalin like candy. We had a spectacular time getting together and blew a years worth of disposable income in a weekend, but she was kinda out of control. I bet she's dead by now. :( floofthegoof38456.2824768519

I live in Watseka IL. About 2 1/2 hours from chicago so if you do something then I would be glad to meet you all.  Gas is about 2.24 here but I can front the money for one day.

Mark, My sister spent a semester in england for college. she loved it!! She was in Ireland from May-June of 2003 then in England from Sept-Dec in the same year. She is busy girl! She decided to go off and have a life instead of being stuck in this little town of ours! GO FIGURE:)

I'm from Missouri too, though it takes me around 5 hours to get to Chicago.

.98?  Wow, that's crazy. Right now it's about .20 where I live and that's already pretty expensive for my city. I guess cheaper gas is one of the perks of living in Virginia. But even if you go into Washington DC it's less than .98. I think it's about .50 or .55 in DC right now.
I think it would be a great idea to have get togethers for people who live within driving distance of each other. Hmmm....at .98+/gal, I imagine it may be less expensive to fly these days, don't you?? May be cheaper to all fly and meet in Chicago!!!

Yeah, isn't that sign "The Other Right" a hoot?
What's so werid, is Seattle is a port city, so gas should actually be less than some of the 'inland' cities....so you'd think, huh? Gas is still going up, too.    I still think it's cheaper to fly.
Last time I worked it out, petrol in the UK was the equivalent of about 8 bucks a gallon.

That cracks me up. People are incapable of being free from want. The more you have, the more you want.

Somebody played a mean trick on us here in the states, Mark. 5 years ago in my town, the price of gas actually got down to 75 cents a gallon. Cheaper than drinking water. Everyone started buying these gas guzzling SUV's, so demand is now through the roof. When gas get's to a gallon, maybe we'll get serious about some alternatives to gas powered cars. But only as a last resort.
Mark, would that be an actual gallon, or per liter...like in Canada?
I worked out that's the equivalent price for a real gallon - but I forgot that one of your little American gallons would cost less - probably about .50.

Mark -

Mark, would that be an actual gallon, or per liter...like in Canada?   You guys in Canada...how much is a liter of gas in American dollars??You're right Floofthegoof....and on top of all that....our taxes have gone to improving roads, road not too many can afford to use now!

May I add...not to embarass you with my choice of words, but you're a real cutie, FG!

 awe shucks!

Well, we talked about meeting up on this thread, decided that everyone was too poor, so pics are the next best thing. Right?

Meeting by states is great except for the fact that ADHD seems to have struck no one in Texas except me.  I'll have a bar-b-que by myself at a park.

Hi, everyone!

Can we get organized by the state we live in, first.

We surely can do that for a bunch of looovelyfolks like us.

You guys are sincere, plus not dangerous, and quite civil.

Let's meet up!

I think it would be a great idea to have get togethers for people who live within driving distance of each other. No plane trips though. Going through your savings is not worth it.

Is there anyone here who lives near Washington DC or Virginia? I live in the northern area of Virginia near DC. And for people who don't live near me, if you ever happen to just be in the area just PM me and we could go for a drink. Okay..maybe alcohol is not the best idea for people like us. How about some nice coffee? I would love to meet some fellow AD/HDers.  scarygreengiant38456.8539699074 GypsyWomyn, your avatar is hilarious.  I would LOVE to meet you guys!  I live in Pittsburgh.
