ADHD and OCD | ADHD Information

Yes, many meds do have suicide 'warnings'...but that's because some people/children/adults may have a deeper issues than AD/HD, and they may be heightened on antidepressants. And thus the importance of proper diagnosis, and best to see a psychiatrist or psychologist for a diagnosis and treatment plan, or even counseling along with any meds prescribed.GypsyWomyn38458.4568171296I was on Prozac for about 10 years for depression and Tourettes tics...definitely OCD. But I had to keep raising the dosage. I am now on Paxil (generic), which has been helping with both the anxiety and OCD, and I'm taking 60 - 80 mg. I also started 3 months ago on Concerta after finally being dx'd with ADHD. From research, I understand Paxil is perhaps a bit better for OCD than Prozac. I also take Carbatrol (a form of Tegratol) which helps with mood swings and anger. With the three, I'm doing quite well.

Good luck!GypsyWomyn38458.435462963Beware herd on Tv these drugs are not approved for kids even though Dr.'s give for them.They now also require suiside warnings on all antidepression drugs.My Doc siad that I had ADHD and OCD.  When I started taking adderall the add surpressed but my anxiety whent off the map. My doc said it was from the OCD and then prescribed Buspar and I am checking it out now....  If you would like I can update in a few days?

has anyone been diagnosed with both of these and been on Prozac for OCD? 

I know Prozac is an antidepressent drug commonly used today but I was on it for my OCD.  I was on Dexedrine for my ADHD.
