I think it's great that the two of you are moving on it!!!! (something I should probably do as well)
I hope this doctor is the one for you
OK! I have an appointment set with a psychiatric clinic that specializes in Ad/HD for all ages, including for adults....
me and my husband have to go and get formally tested, May 6....
We need a second opinion from the doc we went to see first, because he never really told us whether or not we had ad/hd...he just kinda prescribed meds, and sort of had the attitude that, "if it worked, ok, if it doesn't, then come back and i will give something else"..., then he gave us symptom checklists to fill out, but knowing how we are, we ended up never bringing the completed papers back in...
That was several years ago...we kinda took the meds, but we were so unstable that we never ended up going back, and we moved, so that was that...
but now it is time to get the situation formally taken care of, i feel, because I am pregnant, and this disgusting house, with pests in it, and so forth, is not the right place to raise a baby. Lots of other reason why we would like to get formally tested, too many to mention....
So we printed the symptom checklists off of the website for this clinic, and we have to take it back in, and then we also have to do a computer assessment once we get there.......
Good luck on your upcoming appointment. My daughter is seeing one on the 29th of this month a psychologist. It was my decision and the pediatrition agreed with me she has a lot to learn for it will be with her always and i would not want her any other way. Annette my child was diagnosed now by the Pediatrition as well as the school district.
