Teasing/harrassment

Those parents need slapped too.
Yeah the teachers afraid of getting slapped with lawsuits. Some parents have the, "Oh my child is perfect and couldn't possibly do anything wrong" attitude and they over-indulge their kids.  Why is the being excepted anyhow by teachers. In my opinion, teasing and harassment of students by other students is being accepted these days in schools because teachers have very little in what they can do to control or discipline their students without being accused of mistreatment, harassment, being inappropriate, violating of a child's rights....    It's very sad. When I was in school, teachers used methods to discipline students that would probably lose them their jobs today. But they were effective methods, and we came out just fine.
