Interesting, sorry for what you are going through.  My 14 year old is tiny 5'2 and 95 pounds.  He seems to be growing and developing slowly, and doesn't have alot of muscle.  May be due to lack of physical activity.  I think the medication slows the growth incredibly.  Good Luck with everything

Yeah it deffinatly make you lose weight and i used to work out everyday, got stronger but not bigger.  Im pretty sure the lack of ability to eat greatly affects a persons body so I've started taking l-glutamine and weigh protein.  You should deffinatly look into gettin your some on each.  The drug has many excelent results but the slowing of growth really sucks.  If you are able to deal with ADHD I highly reccomend taking him off it in the summer and you will most likely see him grow a few inches.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 13.  When I asked why it took so long my mother told me she allways questioned weather I had it or not but every year my teachers would tell her i couldnt have had it because of my IQ level, yet i allways seemed to lose focus.  About a year ago I went to a growth hormone doctor I forget what the specific name for his profession was and he told me that my bones were 2 years behind my age and I would grow for a longer period of time.  When I asked him if it could be because of adderall he replied yes it could ahve sometihng to do with ADHD medication.  I then just stoped taking the adderall emediatly and ended up failing all my classes because of lack of caring, lack of concentration, and self medicating with marijuana constantly.  The good thing was I grew 3 inches in the 2 months after ceasing to use the adderall.  Just recently I returned back to school (I was out for 3-4 months because of a serious femur snap where a rod was put in my leg).  I decided on my first day back I had better take the adderall because if I take it with no other drugs I can work on school work all day.  For the last 3 weeks I have taken my adderall daily and I was 6 weeks behind in everything and now I am 2 chapters ahead in each subject.  I am attending a diagnostic school for assesment becuase of my failing of classes my mom and educational advocate thought it would be a smart idea to have me assesed for 45 days.  I am getting all the same work from my high school and the wierd thing is I dont even need to be taught Im going through a chapter a day in 4 different major subjects and taking a chapter test on each.  Up until today I thought adderall was great, but I have also just recently began intense work out training. I have april vacation this week and when I tell you I am working out probably about 10 hours of the day there is no exageration.  I have experianced some recent pain and clicking in some of my joints the clicking does not hurt but the mucells around the joints are pretty sore Im not exactly sure if the adderall could be causing this Im almost positive its from not working out so long.  But it got me thinking when I took concerta in the 8th grade I worked out copnstantly and I was getting in good shape but i remeber not getting the results I should have gotten from as hard as I was lifting.  I am worried that my muscles will not develop the way I want them to.  Im almost positive that it effects muscles because I eat like once a day and not much.  I am going to start taking glutamine tomorrow and weigh protein, possibly even creatine but not sure about the creatine.  My big question is does anyone know for sure if adderall have any affect on muscle growth? If it does will taking glutamine and protien work to allow my muscles to grow?Jared11298738462.1171759259
