Adderall XR, Aciphex and Amox | ADHD Information

The Amox is a generic for Augmentin, which is a pennicilin.

I started taking all three of these medications recently.. the Adderall XR for ADHD, the Aciphex for heartburn/reflux (about four times per day..) and the pennicilin for a stubborn cold that's been lingering around for about a month now.

I am experiencing some side effects but i am having a difficult time figuring out which med is causing what.

- Fast heartrate.. about 120 to 150bpm when i wake up and sometimes during the day as well. This causes me to basically just 'shut down' any activity i may be doing as even taking a few steps just tires me out totally. The tiredness goes away when the heartrate slows again.

- VERY tight feeling on the chest when i am sitting/lying down. It's not painful, just very uncomfortable. Goes away eventually.

- Kind of a numbing feeling in my left arm as well as my neck. This too goes away eventually.

- Slight headaches, not terrible tho. They don't last that long either.

- Shallow breathing, i literally have to force myself to breathe deeply.

- Food.. well.. i have to stuff food down my throat because i simply don't feel like eating AT ALL.


Any ideas if the Adderall XR is causing all this?

Also, does smoking marijuana have any nasty effects when using Adderall XR?

I'm on Adderall XR, and the only side effect I have that matches your list is in regards to having to force feed myself.  My appetite dropped to nil the second I took my first pill.  Without even realizing it, I went for 3 days eating nothing more than a couple of bites of salad and maybe 3 french fries, and didn't even want that much!

I've done the starve-myself-half-to-death diet before, and don't want to go there again.  I got some Slim Fast shakes to at least get something in me, plus some oyster crackers.  I can now eat a little each day, and about every third day I can suddenly eat in one sitting about half of what I used to eat in a meal.

Needless to say, anyone I've mentioned that side effect to always says they want to get some Adderall XR for themselves!

I wouldn't mind the weight loss if I knew it wouldn't eventually come back, and if I didn't already have a darn fine wardrobe in my current size, having tossed all the stuff in smaller sizes because I was 100% sure I'd never get that thin again  :(

 

The food thing is a real problem.. i am 6 foot 2 and at this moment, i weigh in at a sad 145 pounds :) .. i am down about 30 pounds since december (this is typical for me, i always loose lots of weight during the winter.. as much as we have of it here in south california). I think i'd run into some health problems if i lost even more weight you know..

yo take some advice for someones who's gone down that road, dont mix pot with adderall it will eventually make u stop taking your adderall and not do good at all, the mixing pot and adderall will also make your heart race.  Plus your cold is probably lingering becuase your smoking weed.
