Have you tried this?? I have not had any problems with Adderall XR wearing off. I physically cannot tell when it is wearing off, which I heard with the (not time released) regular adderall you can feel it kick in and then people experience a "crash" of sorts when it wears off.
Time release adderall herd not as effective as the other one.Try 1 in morning 1 at lunch that way when where's off the other starts. Most doctors will start a medication at a lower dose as there are always some people who do well at these doses. Some of the leveling off as you put it is just due to your body adjusting to the medication. I started Adderall XR last August. I went from 15 mg to 20 mg to 30 mg a month ago. I did not even notice the difference between the 20mg and 30mg. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor about your experiences. They should adjust dosages as need to get you the best results. Sometime they may add another medication with the one you are already taking to maybe get other kinds of benefits. My son takes both Adderall XR and Strattera. how much adderall are you taking? is it XR? and what antideps are you taking?
how much adderall are you taking? is it XR? and what antideps are you taking?
I think you are talking to me? I take regular Adderall 20mg and 50mg of Zoloft for depression.

I also have mild depression and tried strattera but long story short we want to give it another try but I am sarting another job on Monday and don't want to go off the Adderall and my doc doesn't want me to be on both because of the serious side effects they have. UGH.
ADDBEC, sorry yes, I was talking to you! That is too funny since I just got off of 50mg of Zoloft which worked very well for me and I am currently on 20mg of Adderall XR.
I spoke with my doctor last week about going back on the Zoloft but she put me on Trazodone first, which did not do crap for me this past week.
SeattleHil,Hi!
I have been on Adderall for almost a month now. The first week I felt focused and was able to "connect the dots" at work, the 2nd and third week now I do not feel as sharp as the first week. Does the medication level off and lose its strength? Do people usually up their doses(with the Dr's direction) after a few weeks?
Thanks!
