Adderall/nervousness | ADHD Information

I have been taking Adderall generic for about 7 weeks now and it's gone well for the most part but I have a strange thing going on, and I'm not sure why. Yesterday I was SOOOOOOO nervous! I just felt anxious and emotional, and I have to believe it might have something to do with the meds because there really was no reason for these feelings. Does anyone ever have these sorts of feelings? I can't figure if it means I'm taking too much or taking too little, but it was a BAD day for me!  I have the same thing once a week or so on Adderall XR.. usually the time that me and the wife get into a massive argument.. guess it's normal, that's what my doc said anyway.

I am taking 15mg a day.
Hemmie38471.5389814815I think I posted to your message on the other forum website...but stimulants have been associated with anxiety and nervousness. Often times, it is recommended that people lower their dose or switch to a different med if they experience such side effects.

I agree with dean008.  I've been on Adderall regularly for about a year now.  If you're feeling nervous or anxious regularly when taking Adderall, it sounds like your body either disagrees with it, or you may be on too high of a dose.

I sometimes have days when I would feel a rush of anxiety about an hour after taking Adderall, but not on a regular basis.  I don't know why it happens sometimes, perhaps your body metabolizes it differently under certain conditions. 

Make sure you tell your doctor how you are feeling.
