How do you know what prescription is best | ADHD Information

Once diagnosed how will you doctor go about prescribing medication. How do you know what is best for you? What medications are prescribed most often so I can research some of them.  Sorry I know these questions are asked probably all the time but I'm new to all of this. most common are ritalin/concerta, Adderall, and Straterra. Finding the right meds is a trial and error process so unfortunately you won't know which one is right until you try it. Good luck Unfortunately trial and error is it.  We have tried Ritalin (Concerta), Strattera and Adderall XR.

Usually it's the Dr's favorite ADD drug that they have seen work wonders. Just keep calling him/her if the med isn't working for you. Good luck.
