Adderall making it hard to breath? | ADHD Information
I take AdderallXR, 20mg and I've not had either of these symptoms, but I have noticed about 10 hours after I take it, EVERYTHING seems to irritate me (noises, movement, etc), like sensory overload. They're related.. i too have to work to take deep breaths.. Adderall XR
15mg (what i take), seems to cause this. My heart rate is also higher,
but my blood pressure stayed the same.

Hmm, I had that with Strattera. I got really annoyed with things and
ended up telling my boss to go to hell(but I was close to doing that
before I started the meds because she was really pushy and
controlling). I am going to ask my doctor if I can start AdderallXR,
but I was afraid of having the same thing happen with that. Does that
feeling ever go away or does it stay that way all the time?
Hi all, I have been on 20mg Adderall for 3 1/2 weeks and lately noticed that I have a hard time taking deep breaths. Like when I breath in, I almost cough and have to breath in again. Would the med be doing this? My heart also feels like it is beating hard. Would they both be related? I have a dr apt this week, but wanted to see if other Adderall users have these issues. Thanks!I talked to the Doc today and he said it is a normal side effect to have shortness of breath and a hard beating heart. He says as long as my BP is normal and I don't feel bad, than I am ok. But if it gets worse, to call him.
You know what, my 10yr. old son says the same thing about not being able to breath good. When he started Adderall was when it started. Now that he has been on it for about 2mo. he does not say any thing about it. I don't know if it has passes or if he is just use to it now. He is not good at telling me how he feals.
Keep in mind that if you are a smoker, most stimulants cause you to smoke much more though you may not notice it right away.
