I hate that feeling. The other day I was in a shop(must be a shp thing) and the person in front was havig a chat to the check-out girl. I was looking around to see if I was the onlt one who thought things where going way too slow. I felt like I was going to explode.
I can just imagine my wife getting the phone call. "Hello Mrs K, could you come down to the store and collect your husband?", " erm, yes, why", " well hes just exploded on the shop floor and they are just finnished cleaning it up now".

Just go over there and check out the topic: "DON'T DRUG YOUR CHILDREN!!"...
She has incurred the wrath of the entire forum. at last count, their are like 9 pages of angry parents in there telling her off...
It's kinda funny, she is getting told off left and right.

i just get impatient, that's all...PLUS it's friday night, and the moderators for that particular forum i was mentioning are probably out partying at a club somewhere.

No, it was this other forum on yahoo. You know, on groups.yahoo.com It was one of those forums, namely one about hair styles, and a lot of them over in yahoo have moderators that read each and every one of the posts before they put them up.
So far, they have put other people's post up from today, but not mine. IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!! nothing I wrote was inappropriate, just some questions about hairstyles and stuff.
I wanna know the answers to some of my questions, like "now", and they still have not even posted my message yet!!!
I might unsubscribe from that group if they don't post my message in a couple of days....what's the point of sticking around if I can't participate?

I did mention in my first post that it was one of the yahoo.com groups that I was talking about, but I will also stress it again, here. I won't say exactly WHICH yahoo group it was, but it was one of the yahoo.com groups.
I am a member to of many different yahoo groups, but most of them, the ones that have moderators, are very prompt about posting your message for you. But a couple of them have moderators that take their time, and like to party on the weekends. I guess every moderator has their own life, and everything, and doesn't spend every waking hour on the computer checking to see if their are messages to post.
It's kinda like standing in line at a store, for me, to wait. Nothing really I can do about it, I was just being a little ad/hd impatient at the time, and was venting about it. That was more or less what I was trying to say.
I am having a random day today, kind of skipping around from one thought to the next without thinking.
I feel more clear-headed now!

out of me, is that they skipped over mine! I see posts from 5 am today all the way down to about 6 pm, and i posted mine at about 11 am today, and they have put everyone else's up but mine!!
Maybe my title to my post did not sound right? I don't think it sounded bad,...but if they had bothered to read what I'd written, they would KNOW that my subject was all about hair....(namely, some questions about my mother's hair....)
But if they are so strick over there, then it seems they would send me an email as to why they could not post my message....they send me emails for everything else!! i even had them send me this one email, asking my why I had unsubscribed to their group, I had done so by accident...
I WISH EVERYONE ELSE'S FORUMS COULD BE AS ORGANIZED AND WELL EXECUTED AS THIS FORUM AND MARK'S FORUM!!!

Wow, I can't believe there are boards that actually do that! Really? Well, Sonya...I just hope these nice people realize one of the other, but 'newer' Boards, is one of those that promptly posts your messages...(and doesn't mind at all sharing it's members either.) It may have a 'moderator' listed for each forum, but that's just a technicality ... every one is free to post to their heart's content, whenever they want...just like here!

But SOME OF THEM DECIDE TO PUT UP THE MESSAGES WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT!! IT DISTURBS ME WHEN I WRITE A LONG POURED OUT POST THAT I REALLY WANT TO SEE WHAT THE REPLIES ARE TO IT, EARLY THIS MORNING, AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT EVEN PUT UP MY POST YET!!
THAT MEANS THAT FIRST, I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY FEEL LIKE PUTTING MY POST UP, THEN I HAVE TO WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO RESPOND TO IT, THEN , I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE MODERATOR FEELS LIKE PUTTING UP THE RESPONSES!!

now, don't get me wrong, i know why they have to read them all, because there can be some looney's on the net, and they come along and just post anything up there regardless of if it's appropriate or not.
but if you don't feel like being a moderator, and you don't feel like promply reading the posts to put them up, then just don't be a moderator, and don't have a group, OR just let us freely put the posts up like we do here, and risk having idiots write stupid stuff; most of us are adults, and know how to handle idiots coming in, we do pretty gosh darn well here, and we have ad/hd!!

well, they FINALLY posted it, 2 whole days after i wrote it.
some of The responses I got were so cold, though!! none of them had a warm hearted answer to my questions, they were like. "no, do this. ". and that was it.

We're not set up like that, no. The moderators on the Uh..I Forgot forum are there to offer advice if required, to investigate complaints about 'innapropriate' posts and, if necessary, censor or delete inappropriate or offensive posts.
Read every post before it's put on the board? Sounds too much like hard work to me...

I didn't even know as a moderator, that I could read a post before it was 'posted.' We're not set up like that at all. In fact, that's something I'll never do, even if I could...Ick! How arrogant, ya know. But that's just my opinion. Of course, if I'm reading and posting myself, and see something totally inappropriate, I may say something privately to the poster...haven't yet and don't expect there will be need for that. But mostly it's to move topics, if necessary, into proper Forums, and to help 'keep it (reasonably) clean' so people are not offended.

But I think just about anyone that has a yahoo ID can start a group if they wish, and apparently, they have the choice as to whether they have to read each post before posting it, or whether to have the member's posts just automatically pop up like in here.
I understand why some of them decide to read each one, but being ad/hd, i have ants in my pants...
Some one in here hit the nail on the head when they said, "I WANT INSTANT GRATIFICATION!!!".

I own a moderated Google group, I moderate it. Without moderation, the group would descend into spam hell and you would be complaining about that just as bitterly (perhaps, if not you someone else would).
Also, I asked for volunteers to help approve messages, no one stepped forward. I can't watch this group like a hawk 24 hours a day to approve messages. There is often a delay, sometimes a day or more.
What is the answer to this problem?
I don't know.
I think I might just delete the group, I'm simplifying.

I think that kandy should not push her opinions on everybody else. Everyone is different what works for her is not something that would work for me. It might just do the oposite to me. Duck Tape anyone?
