	adderall or dexedrine for adult adhd I'm 31 years old and have been taking 40mg of adderall ir for about 1 year. The adderall stays in my system throughout the evening and I have problems falling asleep sometimes. I also sweat more than I did before starting adderall. Could this be because of the l-amphetamine in the adderall? Would dexedrine be a good option? Adderall has helped me so much with work and relationships, I'd like to stick with a stimulant medication. Adderall is supposed help more specifically, the chem. imbalance. I was taking 30 mg of dexedrine span. every a.m. and another 15mg in the early afternoon. Then I went to adderall, 40mg in am, 20 in afternoon. You could ask to switch to adderall, but if dexedrine is working, maybe switch to non-extended release to take later in the day.
