hey!
it's came to that year now when i am going to go to uni! i've had so many doubts as to whether i'm ready and whether i have got in or not and whether i am going to be able to cope without distracting myself or others. i am VERY scared at this point.
i am leaving college (sixth form) this friday! and i am either going to a teacher-training college/ uni which is most simular to where i go now which would be good... or a normal uni but their grades would be easier for me to achieve. any advice on which would be best??
does anybody go to uni here? if so what's it like? and if you have adhd, do people judge you in uni like they do in school?

Congrats on finishing school! Well done. For me I found uni a lot easier than high school, particularly as you are studying things you are interested in. Go with what you feel is best.
Some tips for you
Sit up the front. Print out the lecture notes before you go in. Even if you struggle in class, make yourself keep going. Stay in regular contact with your teachers and let them know of your condition. Most unis have a disabilities support centre or staff member and this is a good place to start. You should take in some documentation of the ADD and then they can give you tips and advice.
Will you be living at home or moving away? If you get on well with your family I would advise staying at home. Uni takes a while to settle into, so its nice to have something familiar. Otherwise get a place on campus or somewhere nearby and make it study and living friendly.

I believe you should do what you are wanting to. Universitys are to big. Colleges are usually smaller classes. Tape record lessons. The disability acts allows it. You can then replay that lesson. Tech schools are better for some. Knowing how you learn best helps find the best environment for your self. Living away helps peolpe because it forces you to take care of your self more. It did me. Before I thought others were to wait on me. If it's just you you have to do that thing. Ex. Laundry I was like this because we had a live in at home.Brent38482.4145023148thanks kristen,
