Chaomile tea at bed

remove refined carbs before bed time and dinner. These raze blood sugar which gives energy. Eat at day instead.

Is Melaton the same as Melotonin-I use that to sleep but it is an over the counter supplement. Are we talking about the same thing?

I used to take FOREVER to sleep but managed to fix it by going POLYOPHASIC

I'd reccomend it except that you need a REALLY open schedule and a willing participant....

There are smart and dumb methods to do it but you end up only sleeping 4 hours a day and getting all the sleep you need. I'm back to mono-phasic now but I can fall asleep on command...it's nice..
No simple carbs at dinner. this worksI've been  having  sleeping  problems  for a long time and all  I  know  that  helps me is to  listen to  music and read  a  boring  book.  If  that  doesnt' work  I just  wait  til I get  tired  and  deal  with  the  school  day  if  I  can. Which I seem to be able to for long periods of time if I fall asleep for a few minutes in a class.

Sometimes I'm late for school though, oh well.
When trying to sleep, my mind is constantly racing, especially at night - hence my member name. I'm about as messed up in sleep as you can get - some nights I don't even sleep at all because I'm either on the computer or I lay semiconscious on the couch (I avoid my bed because it's usually covered in sand and mud that my dog tracks in). What seems to help for me is getting into a good habit - going to bed at a certain time every night & waking up at a certain time. Sometimes I fall asleep listening to music from my ipod, it seems to mellow me down. I sometimes take trazodone which I haven't found addictive, but it really never works for me, no matter how much I take nothing seems to knock me out. If nothing seems to work take him to a sleep doctor, at his age sleep is very important for growing. Hope all goes well...

I've always had troubles sleeping too...Try to make sure he's on a good diet, is getting exercise, isn't too hungry or full when going to bed, make sure his bedroom is only for sleeping, not other activities, and try to use lighting to get his circadian rhythm on a daily schedule.

Other than that, it's just kind of a try-and-see. I seem to have problems sleeping no matter what I do because I can't get my brain to stop thinking. Sometimes I take diphenhydramine to help me wind-down, but doesn't help much. You could also try bringing him to a sleep dr.

Good luck
