On this subject I need a yay or nay does anyone here believe that anyone with ADD or ADHD should be allowed to have money at all. I know myself I do not believe that I should ever be allowed to carry money again as long as I live.

Arbi, a fellow Canadian, eh? I used to buy tons of stuff and enjoyed accumulating things. Now when I spend it is for supplements, but I am watching it. Recently, I bought some supplements after much research and thought... I will tell you, I have in the past spent money like it grew on trees. These days, I try to postpone spending as much as possible. I figure the more I stretch it out, the more money flows in to help me out.... I have learned that I can wait and have it later so I can feel better about myself rather than associate guilt with spending and money... So I guess if we just think about our purchases and like for supplements I have to think of larger quanities and the like... But I suppose supplements are better than anything else I could spend on besides food. I also do not rent movies often, I also go to the dollar theater and read...
Missing, well try to feel better about what happened. You made the guy happy and he thought you were mighty generous; he did not think you were a fool. You made his day. Your action reminded me of something Suze Orman said about spending money if we hand our money over quickly, it means we don't care much for money and want to get rid of it or something to that effect, and if we are slow to get it over and are clutching it, we are focusing on poverty... I have a lot to learn about money... But I am focusing on one attracting money and opportunity and postponing spending. I also eat at home more.... I often felt I should live like a king and not worry about the money... Anyone else have the monarchical thinking?
Well most of my spending ends up on things I can share... my parents beat sharing into me as a child.....
Well
arbiterxero if you have spare computer parts give me some maybe a whole new computer sike.
I am trying to get a hold of my spending because I have a family that I have to support and I can not go spending it on everything. I try to put things in my bank account so that I am not just going everywere with it. If I have cash on me then my mind will go and figure out how to spend it.
You know what will make it easier is if they just did not have bills. No electric bills, phone bills, gas bills, water bills, cable bills, car notes, etc. Just get ride of them all and I will not mind carrying around money.

Our problem is limited funds although when I have extra I spend it on my daughter and spoil her. Last venture the mall to the build a bear store.
Hey if you guys are willing to pay the shipping I know where to get
stuff dirty cheap, give me the specifics and I'll see what I have/can
do!
I know EXACTLY where you're coming from!! I'm getting much much better about it now. Maybe bc I want to set a better example for my kids than slob mommy!
Well, I think it's not fair that we not have money...LoL
But I have to set up 'checks' for myself... Like I rarely carry cash...it's too easy to spend. I put money in accounts (savings, retirement, etc) that I don't have easy access to get the money out. I pay bills when I get paid. And when I am out shopping, I try to keep to a list (IF I remember to bring it...or make it..LoL)...or I will make mself not get something unless I still want it when I am leaving the store/mall. I usually forget about the thing, find something better, or when the "I need it now" moment is gone, I don't want it anymore.

That would happen until I reached maybe 28 years old but the money would still disappear quickly.

But now you know I was able to hold on to some money for the first time for over two weeks without spending it.

I feel so good. I am going to try it again this week and see if I can make it to the next week with money again.
