My daughter is on 54 mg of concerta in the morning a 10 mg ritalin supplement in the afternoon, and 2 mg of tenex in the evening. She has been on this since Friday. She was on Concerta 36 mg and the other 2 before that. My problem is that today she seemed to devlop a nervous tic. She is fidgety all afternoon, she keeps scrathing at her legs and arms and saying bugs are itching her or when we were outside the gras was itching her. She NEVER touched the grass except with her shoes.
She is really worrying me! She is worried that bees or wasps might get in the house everytime we open the door. Does this sound like ADHD.
The meds seem to work as far as her hyperness but they seem to be bringing out weird little things. I have been reading alot and I can not figure out what else it could be.
ANY IDEAS??

What your daughter is experiencing is not symptoms of ADHD. What shes expereincing is undesirable effects of the medication. This can happen when the dose is too high or too low. This is just an educated guess on my part. I strongly recommend that you contact your childs physician and perhaps a medication adjustment is in order. The goal is maximum benefit with minimal side effects.
