addbec- Did you find that the regular adderall would be less effective at that point in your cycle as well? If so, then your symptoms are probably due to pms and less-so due to the med change.
Keep in mind, however, that many women experience a decrease in concentration and change in emotions at various stages in their cycles. If you find that you are still experiencing the same symptoms later in your cycle, then I would look to factors other than pms. Perhaps it is the switch of meds, or a nutrient deficiency, or a lack of sleep/exercise.
Thanks. I decided that the XR doesn't work well with me and I am going back on the regular so I can control it better. I think it is really hard to find the right dose of med. PMS and perimenopause do intensify the ADD symptoms. It might be that at certain times of the month you may need to tweek your dose.
