Cleaning=personal hell! | ADHD Information

I found neat page that breaks the process down into little chunks to be done daily.  The daily chore of it sucks...but it may be the key to keeping on top of cleaning (something that I am horrible horrible horrible at).

Of course I may have to get a cleaning lady to get me started...but that's a whole other story.

Hmmm... funny how they list vacuuming a room as taking 2 minutes yet it always seems to take me more like 30+ . I always seem to find myself standing in the middle of the room holding the plug with a blank look on my face!I dont own a vacuum.  2 minutes to vacuum?? I wish! I want my new Dyson Animal Vac. Maybe that will take 2 minutes. You too? I spend time yesterday burning myself a motivational "clean the house" CD, but I will say the timer thing does work.  Before I started adderall, I would wander from room to room. I would start cleaning the kitchen, forget the paper towels in the bathroom, see 10 different things to do in the bathroom, then return to the half done kitchen.  I try to do a room at a time and even if it kills me start and finish it.  If it is a major ordeal, I'd try setting the timer for 15-20 minutes, then it doesn't seem so overwhelming.  If you find anything better, let me know.Two minutes to vacume?  This person obviously doesn't have kids, pets, or live in his/her home!

A problem of mine as well...not as big of a problem as picking everything up off the ground.

I guess I was being optomistic...

vacuuming a rug is a pain, but having a dog makes it sooooo much worse...

Hey everyone!

Here's a cleaning guide for people with ADD/ ADHD. Its in Adobe format. Its a little long but I had to laugh how accurate her observations and guidence are. It works but I still hate cleaning.

I'm sure it would take 2 minutes to vacuum, but first I'd have to pick up everything on the floor.

Maybe next week.

lol i sell the dysons... they're great, but the one thing they lack is self-propulsion!  Ah well, burn more calories, right?
