OMG! Dry skin and itching/burning | ADHD Information
Has anyone here who is either on Dexedrine or Lexapro or both experienced dry skin with itching and stinging/burning. It's horrible on my face and my arms. But I itch all over. I don't know if this could be due to either of the medications. I'm hoping it is. Because, frankly, I'm freaked out by it. I've never had it this bad before. I've been on the meds for over a month now and I just recently started experiencing this. I've been on dexedrine since I was 11 or 12 years old (19 now). I was off of it for a couple of months then started back on it. When I was taking it before I never experienced this. I also live in Louisiana where it's warm and humid and my skin is worse now than it ever has been in the winter. Any input?
Dexedrine made my skin more oily, I think because it speeds up metabolism. Not on it any more, made me to nervous. I have been on Lexapro for about a year and yes, my skin is very dry, especially on my legs and behind my knees feels like exzema, I need to put on an itch cream behind my knees. I am 50 and thought it must be menopause but I bet it is the Lexapro. How does the dexadrine and Lexapro work together for you? I was on just lexapro for depression and now strattera added for concentration, no luck yet with the Strattera. Were you on the Lexapro for depression or both for ADD? How did you feel with just the Lexapro versus Lexapro & Dexadrine? I couldn't sleep at night with the Dexadrine.
