DR. PHIL CHANGED OUR LIVES.. | ADHD Information

Hi,  I along with my son appeared on the Dr.Phil tv show 2 times this year...talk show host Dr.Phil changed our lives....he introduced us to Dr.Frank Lawlis...who is also part of the Dr.Phil show....I just knew that after 4 years of watching his "DIE", because of all the DRUGS/PILLS he was on that there had to be an ALTERNATIVE...my son who is now 8, is no longer medicated...he now uses a BIO FEEDBACK DEVICE, known as the BAUD....I fought for so long...and finally my son was heard....I would really encourage everyone out there that is sufferring from this disoder to contact me personally....through my own e-mail address. The BAUD.....is the new high-tech way of dealing with many other issues, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, stress, PTSD, lask of concentraton....people with chemical disoders, and peole with dyslexia....that in today's world/society... we turn to pills.....Please....just know that we are here, and that it was only by way of a NATIONAL TV SHOW that , I am able to speak to you all TODAY....BE STRONG and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN......Yawn, this is a tiresome post, I hope it gets reported and removed. I am grandmother of a 7 year-old named Jacob.  We have been trying to find out if anyone has heard or had any experience with Learning RX?  This is a program based on retraining the brain to develop concentration, attention, focus, etc. in order to prepare for learning.  Jacob was tested at the last of the year, and was diagnosised as being MR with a 67 IQ.  I taught all types of special students for 30 years, and totally reject the evaluation.  I also believe he is having difficulty with attention and focus which are both essential for learning.  This last year was a nightmare.  He went through a whole year, was supposed to be tested by December break, and can't read or write.  We are desperate to find a program that will have him ready for the 2nd grade.  I believe he may have Asperger's Syndrome.  Please if anyone has any information about RX or any other program let me know.  Just Nana

I am glad Dr. Phil changed your life and that your son is doing so well.  I had the opposite problem, my son was encouraged not to be medicated and now he is and his life is changed for the better through medication.

Some docs do overmedicate and some kids don't do well.  But not everyone shares the opinions of Dr. Phil, Dr. Lawless, Tom Cruise, and many others who in general seem to be plain against medications.
