You are so right! Nicole is brainwashed and I told her so. I think they pick the easily brainwashed to go on those shows in the first place.
Nothing to apologize for stixxx. The original post sounded like pretty pathetic infomercial. As for television, the agenda is not about educating and helping people. this is about money and high ratings and what better way to make money then by exploiting the most vulnerable people in our society. Its done through sensationalism and inaccurate information. Whats really alarming is that they brain wash people in such a way that they actually get the general public to advertise for them.Sorry if I happen to be way off base here, but the whole original post smacks of someone who is getting commissions or some other compensation from the sales of these things.
I apologize if this is way off base; if I am, perhaps changing the way in which the message is delivered will help reduce skepticism.

If you aren't willing to try something don't knock it. It may work. I hear lots of people not willing to do it if not convential methods. Well they didn't have these things a long time a go. So they used herbs. God commanded us to eat them. Genesis 1 says that. They do work must need to give time to tell. 30 to 90 days at least. The fact is Americans eat to much junk.The WHOLE WORLD eats too much junk..espec Japan. They lead. WOW so many points of view what a wonderful site. I am liking the fact of taking peoples information and picking out of it what I feel is useful this is a great place to do so . thanks to allNo offense but Dr. Phil is about as interesting and insightful as Pauly Shore.What's next for Dr. Phil, a book about how to grow a great head of hair.?
It's sad that America has come to believe their best hope for solving a personal problem is to go on national television and bare their soul. All kinds of mental illness on display is the fodder of afternoon TV. And to think that complex personal problems can be dealt with in the 8 to 12 minutes between commercial interruptions is comical.
But it would appear there is a large audience for this type of programing and if some people feel they are helped by the Dr. Phils of the world then god bless.

This Nicole person is a lunatic-e-mailng everyone with nasty insulting message filling our inboxes-look out!!Some here say would not try biofeedback do to lack of proof. Would you do what a Speech or Ot therapist suggets, if so what is the real difference. They use non conventail things. Ait therapy is one. We did and it helped our son.Why not try it the worst thing is it didn't work.The show my wife saw with Dr. Lawlis showed pictures of a adhd brain VS. the nonadhd brain. The adhd brain showed definant areas where dysfunctional. The non adhd showed no dysfunction. I would never medicate based on some Dr.'s opinion only. a EEG shows how the wires are working in a Brain and if there is dysfunction and where. This is just us.EEg's show brain activity. Pet scans are a picture of the Brain and where dysfunction is at. Some say not true ,Wife had EEG's all her life when she had Epilepsy. I would never medicate with out this first.If adhd is a dysfunction it should be on one of these tests. If not seems that something else should be ruled out. I couldnot medicate just because someone says so. Boys are aggressive by nature anyhow. I thought he was just this way since he is a male. I now know Men, listen to your wife she is with them the most. Never go against your gut because your probebley correct. We haven't been able to find out more. Ins. doesn't cover all testing and we bairly can pay bill as is. This what the places my wife has called said. Schools don't want to spend the money your state gives them.Why, to save them money they are given for this. This is terrible. I have herd this from lots of parents not just us. I accidentally found this website browsing the internet this morning. I have a son of 4½ that is on medication for ADHD. He also visits the occupational therapist once a week (for almost 6 months now). He has been on medication for 2 months after visiting the pediatrician in March. He prescribed eyeQ, which is a natural fish and pure primrose oil, because I prefered a more natural product, before trying other medication and because my son is a bit young for drugs like ritalin (according to me). Although he is not using it that long, there is a slight improvement in consentration. We live in a small town in South Africa and do get Dr Phill's shows, but some time after you guys in the US. After reading all your comments on this new BAUD devise, I would like to find out more. I'm not very keen on medication and would prefer something more natural. Because my son is still young, I would do anything to help him and as far as possible avoid putting him on drugs. I would like to watch Dr Phill's show on this and are looking forward to it. I hope I can find out when it will be screened over here.
If anybody can give me a bit more information on this device, how it works and from what age it can be used, etc. it would be much appreciated.

Tv Talk show host Dr.Phil changed my son life....My son is 8 years old, and had been medicated for half of his life....and then this year Dr.Phil chose us to go on his show and tell America, what had happened...after watching my son LITERALLY DIE....I just knew that with technology thw way it is today...that there had to be an ALTERNATIVE,...and there is....we were introduced to Dr.Frank Lawlis....author of THE ADD ANSWER....and he also introduced my son to the BAUD...BIO FEED BACK DEVICE.....
With the price of pills/drugs in this country. I spent close to ,000 in 4 years, just to watch my son, loose his appetite, be sick and green looking...and hate life and want to die....THE BAUD, is the HIGH-TECH way of learning to control your own ADD/ADHD on your own. This is a new product....but for the same amount of a bottle of pills, the BAUD can be yours....My son , is BACk...he eats everything, he loves life, and he is doing great in school. Since appearing on the show, I have become a NATION WIDE advocate for families all over the country...I'm trying to help them understand about this DISORDER, that either the parents suffer from or the children....I would also encourage anyone how does suffer for ADD/ADHD, to purchase...Dr.Lawlis' book the THE ADD ANSWER....I'm hear to listen, because it took us 4 years to be heard, and that is the only reason I am able to listen to you all....

I did look at this person's visit to the Dr. Phil show and I don't think she is being completely upfront about her experience ther. It was menttioned that her son did not show symptoms at her ex-husbands house(possible mis-diagnosis?) and that she needed counseling to learn better parenting skills-she also admits in the follow up that she has worked and become a better parent. It sounds as this may be a multi faceted program that could have posssibly worked for her son, but I am concerned that this wasn't mentioned along with the BAUD system. I really would like people to be up front because as parents with ADD/ADHD children we are more vulnerable to scams when we hear something might work for our children. This person was able to work one on one with Dr. Lawless as well for parenting skills and the BAUD. Just want all the cards on the table. My son's father also says that he does not see the ADD symptoms at his house. He's decided that he doesn't have ADD because he gave him a coke and he got hyper instead of calming down. Furhtermore .. we have had teachers, pediatricians, a neurologist and a neuro-psych all confirm that he has ADD and my ex still thinks he knows better.
I have never ever heard of this BAUD thing and I will check it out. I have learned that what may be a saving grace for some does nto work for others .. but I do want to hear about everything. Thanks so much for the information.
Here is the website for a clinical study on BAUD-it's the same as bio-feedback. Looks interesting, but I would research it and purchase it on my own as I am sure that NicNozz is sending our inquiry e-mails to someone for her own use. You are supposed to work with a doctor when using it initially.
