Laughs at others: Dont DARE laugh at him | ADHD Information
Ok this has been a 'problem' for some time. We just so happen had an incident at school on Monday that I thought I'd share. Each child had to write a book. The teacher then read all the books outloud to the class and everyone (including my son was laughing) as the teacher read each book outloud. WELL: my son's book was read by the teacher and everyone laughed but my son stood and SCREAMED "don't laugh at 'my' book!" Arghhhhhh...yesterday at the pool we were playing with a ball and I noticed everytime I missed it he would laugh. WELL...here I go with 'one' way I thought I'd 'try' with him. The next time he missed the ball I laughed at him. He balled his fist up and growled at me. WHAAAAA!! Well we talked for a bit and he said that it made him MAD when I laughed. SO...we agreed that when I missed the ball we would BOTH laugh and when he missed we also would BOTH laugh. Well that one instance worked like a charm...but I worry about 'other' children simply PLAYING and laughing and him getting like he got in school. WHAT in the world is this? Any ideas? I'm sure that you have some...please share.
